Author Amrit Kallar will be in conversation with Dr. Jyoti Bachani, Professor at Saint Mary's College, for the launch of her debut novel, Gilded Spirits.
In this interview, Amrit will share more about herself, her writing journey, and the inspiration behind Gilded Spirits. The audience will get a chance to reflect upon the complexities of burning themes such as mental health, immigration, ambition and upheaval in times of economic disruption. Ms. Kathleen Lee, Lead Docent at The Agnews Historic Museum and Cemetery, will give a presentation about the Museum's history spanning its establishment, renovation, and years as a mental health institution in California.
