Springtime Fairy Tale

Springtime Fairy Tale
Bayer Ballet

Saturday, March 28 at 11 a.m.
Sunday, March 29 at 11 a.m.

As the story begins, a family of bunnies awakens on the morning of a long-anticipated celebration. The little ones are momentarily worried — where is Bunny Mom? The Bunny Mom appears, and the bunnies greet her with excitement realizing she is there to help prepare for the big celebration. The bunnies eagerly join in the preparations. The forest fills with laughter, playful frolicking, and joyful dancing. Magic shimmers in the air as woodland creatures gather for what promises to be a beautiful spring celebration. But the merriment is suddenly interrupted. From the shadows emerges the Queen of the Bats and her retinue of wicked bats, furious at being excluded from the festivities. In a dramatic twist, the Bat Queen casts a dark spell and kidnaps one of the baby bunnies. When Bunny Mom discovers that one of her little bunnies is missing, her excitement turns to alarm. With courage and determination, she seeks help. The Magician and a graceful Fairy unite their powers to confront the Bat Queen and restore peace to the forest. Through bravery, kindness, and a touch of magic, the kidnapped bunny is rescued — and harmony returns just in time for the long-awaited celebration.

Filled with enchanting characters, delightful dances, sparkling confections, and joyful surprises, Springtime Fairy Tale is a heartwarming pre-ballet story production that celebrates courage, family, and the magic of spring.

This performance is 1 hours and 45 minutes long, including one 15 minute intermission, and is appropriate for all ages.
