Collaborating at Juilliard and Marlboro Music, Elena Ariza and Solomon Ge join forces for their first concert together in California to present an exhilarating program including Beethoven, Brahms, Webern, and Ysaÿe. Please join us to hear and support the next generation of classical musicians!
This event is 1 hour and 15 minutes long, including one 15 minute intermission, and is appropriate for ages 5 and up.

About the Artists
Cellist Elena Ariza is recognized for her artistry, versatility, and commitment to community engagement. She has performed in distinguished venues including Carnegie Hall, the Berliner Philharmonie, Davies Symphony Hall, the Royal Concertgebouw, and Seiji Ozawa Hall. In 2025, she was invited by the Juilliard School to perform Strauss’s Don Quixote as soloist with Nicholas Carter and the Juilliard Orchestra at Alice Tully Hall. A participant in the 2024 Naumburg International Cello Competition, Elena won 1st prize at the 2025 William C. Byrd Young Artist Competition, the 2022 Gustav Mahler Prize Cello Competition, and the 2022 Philharmonic Society of Arlington Young Artist Competition.
An avid chamber musician, she has collaborated with artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Steven Tenenbom, Vivian Weilerstein, members of the Brentano and Cassatt String Quartets, and attended festivals including Marlboro Music Festival, Ravinia Steans Institute, and the Perlman Music Program. Featured on Yo-Yo Ma’s Music Art Life project and on NPR’s From the Top, she has performed for esteemed musicians such as Colin Carr, David Finckel, Clive Greensmith, Frans Helmerson, Gary Hoffman, Paul Katz, Ralph Kirshbaum, Philippe Muller, and Marcy Rosen. Dedicated to social impact, Elena has collaborated with Project: Music Heals Us to perform and teach music in correctional facilities across California and New York.
Based in New York City, Elena is the 2025-27 cellist fellow for Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect, a C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow at the Juilliard School, and Teaching Assistant to Astrid Schween. She previously received her Artist Diploma at Juilliard and her Bachelor of Arts at Columbia University majoring in computer science, as part of the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange Program. Her mentors include Richard Aaron, Joel Krosnick, Ronald Leonard, Sieun Lin, Astrid Schween, and Eric Sung.

Solomon Ge is a pianist and composer who currently studies at the Juilliard School with Robert McDonald. He has performed extensively across the United States and Europe, with orchestras such as the South Carolina Philharmonic, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, and the Richardson Symphony Orchestra. His awards include first prizes at the PianoArts, Ann & Charles Eisemann Young Artist, and the Arthur Fraser International Piano Competitions.
A passionate chamber musician, he has spent his past two summers at the Marlboro Music Festival and will return this coming summer. He has further performed on tour with Musicians from Marlboro, in concerts presented by the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Harvard Music Association, and Carnegie Hall. Other festival experiences include IMS Prussia Cove, Ravinia Steans Institute, and the Four Seasons Spring Workshop.
He has recorded his own solo piano work, Threnody, for Pinna Records, with all proceeds from the release being donated to the Jed Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting the mental well-being of teenagers.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the New England Conservatory, where he studied with Alessio Bax and Haesun Paik. Other important mentors and sources of endless inspiration to him include Jonathan Biss, Claudio Martinez Mehner, and Mitsuko Uchida.
