Nutcracker: Not a Ballet
Presented by TheaterGames Productions
Saturday, December 16 at 11 a.m.
Sunday, December 17 at 11 a.m.
A multilayered play based on a weird and wonderful story by German writer E.T.A. Hoffmann.
Nutcracker, a Christmas present for Marie, gets broken by her brother Fritz and fixed by the kids’ godfather Drosselmeier, a great inventor and an amazing storyteller. His fairy tale about Nut Crakatuck, Princess Pirlipat , and the fight between Nutcracker and Mouse King gives Marie freedom to take an active part in fantastic, though sometimes scary events and to test her belief in dreams and magic victory of courage and love over cruelty and indifference.
Performed entirely in Russian.
