Beautiful, loving, and wild of heart, Keen Ears the Vixen comes to life in a fantastical musical fable set to the lush music of Janáček. Recently rediscovered in our archives, this Donald Pippin translation has never been performed on the Pocket Opera stage! Soprano Amy Foote stars as KeenEars, the Vixen, with baritone Spencer Dodd as the Forester. Pocket Opera General Director Nicolas A. Garcia directs the production, with renowned conductor Jonathan Khuner leading the Pocket Philharmonic.
This performance is 2 hours and 25 minutes long with one 20 minute intermission and is appropriate for ages 5 and above due to length.
