She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans, a young woman grieving for her deceased sister. The Evans sisters never were especially close, but after Tilly’s death Agnes finds her sister's Dungeons & Dragons notebook and finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. Chock-full of supermodel elves, dominatrix warrior women, and nasty ogres, She Kills Monsters by acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen explores friendship, loss and acceptance while offering a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
This event is 2 hours long with one intermission and is appropriate for middle school and above due to subject matter and mature language/situations.
