Horns for the Holidays

Horns for the Holidays

Presented by Quadre - The Voice of Four Horns

Tuesday, December 21 at 7pm

Be Quadre's guests as we ring in our 23rd season with an enchanted evening of traditional and popular holiday classics on the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts MainStage.

We love performing, Horns for the Holidays, and are delighted to bring it back to you - live and in-person. This year the festive extravaganza of classical and contemporary favorites features the incomparable, Sadie Glass performing Mozart's "Horn Concerto #1" on the natural horn as well as percussionist, James Kassis performing "Il est né, le divin Enfant" and the "Little Drummer Boy."

With the richness and power of an orchestra and the delicacy of an intimate chamber ensemble, Quadre's four resounding horns delight and enchant. Enjoy original arrangements to familiar pieces like James Pierpont's classic "Jingle Bells", Adam Unsworth's sophisticated arrangement of Hugh Martin's "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and Daniel Wood's original, jazz-inspired, "Hug Santa for Me." The quartet will bring majesty to Handel's "Messiah," sweetness to Mel Torme's "Christmas Song" and smiles to a happy rendition of "Up on the Housetop."

And in the spirit of giving, every ticket you purchase helps support the group's Music with a Message engagement for the unhoused community. We invite you to ring in the holidays with the festive sound of the horn, the quintessential instrument of the season. We look forward to seeing you there!
