Our 30th Anniversary Season kicks off with two favorites as well as a world premiere. Audiences have been clamoring for the return of James Kudelka’s The Man in Black, a searing and emotional piece set to cover songs recorded by Johnny Cash. Also back onstage is longtime Smuin collaborator Val Caniparoli’s playful Tutto Eccetto il Lavandino (everything but the kitchen sink). Finally, we’re delighted to present a world premiere by ballet and Broadway choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie to an original Cuban jazz score by composer Charles Fox. This performance is 2 hours long with two 15 minute intermissions and is appropriate for all ages.
