Nutcracker in China – Year of the Horse – presents a captivating story told through a blend of ballet and Chinese dance. On Chinese New Year’s Eve, a young girl named Jasmine dreams of the legendary woman warrior Hua Mulan, the beloved characters of the classic Chinese novel Dream of the Red Chamber, and the exquisite imagery of Tang Dynasty statuary and paintings from the famous Buddhist caves of Dunhuang.
This performance is 2 hours, including one 15 minute intermission.
